BOSTON, MA – Syracuse moved on to the Elite Eight after surviving its second one-point victory of the season, this time defeating Wisconsin, 64-63. C.J. Fair led the Orange offense with 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

‘Cuse Countdown in Boston: Players Look to Make Their Own History at Historic Venue

(BOSTON, MA) – TD Garden is used to hosting many championship events, including the Frozen Four, the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Finals. On Thursday and Saturday night, Boston will crown a NCAA Regional Champion and as David DeGuzman explains, players and coaches understand how historic TD Garden already is.

The Orange defeated Manhattan and Oklahoma State when it played in Boston for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament in 2003. Syracuse is looking to get to its first Elite Eight since then.


CC in Boston: Badgers Prepare for Aggressive Orange Offense

After a pair of wins in Albuquerque, Wisconsin is making its second consecutive appearance in the Sweet 16. The Badgers lead the nation in allowing opponents an NCAA-low 52.9 points per game and as Ryan Koletty reports, Wisconsin is not afraid to take on Syracuse’s 2-3 zone and defend against its aggressive offense.

Wisconsin’s last Sweet 16 appearance ended with a loss to Butler in 2011. The Badgers are 2-3 in Sweet 16 games since 2000.
