Syracuse Lacrosse vs Virginia Preview

The Orange and Cavaliers always play close games. In fact the last five matchups have been decided by a total of six goals, with two of those games being decided in Overtime. This weekend the two teams will renew their stories rivalry in Charlottesville. Virginia comes into the game led by the reigning Tewaaraton Trophy winner in senior attackman Steele Stanwick and as the #1 ranked team in the country, making UVA the favorite in the contest. To compound the issue the Orange lost many senior leaders in the offseason, but CitrusTV’s Chip Angeles spoke to SU players, who said to throw out the ranking whenever these two teams faceoff.


SU Loses Last Home Game

On senior day in the Dome SU wasn’t able to come away with a win against Georgetown for the second time this year. Senior Iasia Hemingway lead the Orange with 20 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists.


Syracuse Secures Another Big East Win as Season Comes to Close

In support of Breast Cancer Research, Syracuse wore its pink jerseys and came away with a win against Marquette in the Carrier Dome 79-63. Four SU players scored in double figures led by Kayla Alexander with 23 points.


Orange Clinches Big East Regular Season Title After Thriller With UConn

Fab Melo scored the game-winning dunk with 31 seconds left as No. 2 Syracuse defeated UConn, 71-69. The win clinched the regular season Big East title for the Orange. CitrusTV’s David DeGuzman reports on how SU were able to hold off the Huskies in the final seconds.
